Rescued, not melted.

Trovanni is a small, independent UK business. I buy and sell vintage jewellery and watches.

I find pieces at auctions and from people selling things they no longer wear. I photograph each one honestly, flaws included, and sell it on so it gets worn again.

The alternative is often the melting pot. Old gold and silver gets weighed, scrapped and turned into something new, and the work that went into it is lost. Keeping a piece in use is the simplest form of reuse there is, and it's why this shop exists.

Why vintage

A lot of older jewellery is simply better made and more interesting than mass-produced modern pieces. Art Deco especially: the geometry, the detail, the care in the settings. You can't get that off a production line, and you shouldn't have to pay new-jewellery prices for something less good.
